ATSM - Card challenge - #385 Photo inspiration

Hi, Crafty friends..
Swapna here and its time for new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and we have photo inspiration for the challenge. Click here for more details and the Inspiration from DT members.

Here is my take
  • I stamped images from SSS set and coloured with zig markers.
  • I fussy cut the images and put thin coat of glossy accent on the ice cream portion.
  • I prepped my card base by stamping sentiment and stripes with distress inks.
  • Then glued ice cream cones towards bottom center of he card.

Here is closer look at those stripes.

Glossy accent adds life to those ice cream scoops.

Click here to look at what other DT members have came out.

Now coming to my take on the card. Many a times I plan things out and at the end it turns out to be something else. Its one such card. This set was on my wishlist and recently bought it,thought will put it in use.

  • I stamped image from Simon says stamp and sentiment from Fiskers with black ink.
  • Die cut it with spellbinders die.
  • I wanted something to mat but didnt have die so i matted the diecut on grey CS and then cut around it.
  • Foam mounted it on the white card base.
  • Felt it needed something so i added red colour on lips.
  • Thats it, I finished my card.

Do share your suggestions and thoughts on my take to the challenge. Dont forget to enter your card to the challenge and leave some love to the other posts.

Guest designing at CAS(E)

Hello, I am so excited to be part of CAS(E) as guest designer for the challenge #217

If you have not heard about this challenge then I highly recommend it to you, there will be awesome sketches every week.

Now coming to my take on the sketch

I placed a slightly smaller panel on the card base, stamped outline images from Altenew painted poppy set and stamped with grey ink from Altenew. Then I stamped remaining layers on the smaller panel with Altenew inks. Used grey ink to blend on the card base.

Stamped sentiment from another Altenew stamp with Altenew black ink. Felt like it got lost in flowers so I outlined the words which overlap, I have learnt this trick from Kelly Latevola. Used corner choper to round one corner, then foam mounted the panel on card base and added few clear sequins.

Supplies

Altenew painted poppy
Altenew painted greetings
Altenew red cosmos ink cube set
Altenew green fields ink cube set
Altenew summer night ink cube set
Altenew warm grey ink cube set

Happy day - Jane's doodles

Hi.. Friends...
Swapna here with my first challenge post for A Blog Named Hero. This month our collaborating partner is Jane's doodle , the designs are so amazing and lovely, I bet you will fall in love with them.

Now coming to our Challenge is CAS so what are you waiting for just take out your supplies and get creative and don't forget to link your project to our challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge

I stamped and coloured trees from the set with black ink, fussy cut them out. I die cut a circle from kraft card stock and used few shades of brown and blue to create sky and sand for my background. Foam mounted the kraft panel on a2 top folding white card base. Glued one tree flat on the base and another with foam tape, heat embossed the sentiment ( from Jane's doodles wise owl ) on black scrap card stock and glued flat on the card.

Here is closer look at all the dimensions and colouring of the images.

 Loved the pop of black

Check out other A blog Named Hero team member's take on the challenge.
