Stretch your dies- DT post

Hi..
Crafty friends..

Here I am with my detailed for this month on peek-a-boo blog. I made these 3 cards using one die as focal element. Last week was bit hard for me as I was not at all in creative mood. Hope I did justice with my supply.

Card #1

This is somewhat simple card. When I loose my MOJO I make simple monochrome cards. They boost my confidence a bit, as I need not to make any colour combination.

* Its a topfolding 7x5" landscape card.
* I took another panel, ran through an embossing folder.
* I die cut leaves and panel for the sentiment ( I used small scalloped rectangle die partially to make smaller panel which can fit my sentiment).
* Heat embossed the sentiment (Partial stamping) and edges of embossed panel, leaves and scalloped rectangle with gold embossing powder (I have fallen in love with this embossing powder).
* The embossed panel is mounted on card base with foam sheet, glued scalloped rectangle flat with liquid glue and sentiment panel with foam tape. Then glued leaves beneath rectangle frame.

Card #2

* I die cut several leaves from white CS.
* Blended distress inks on another panel and spritz with pearlised on the panel.
* Glued all leaves on the panel randomly to fill the area and trimmed the edges.
* Die cut the sentiment with metallic CS.
* Glued the panel on the top folding 5x7" card base and the sentiment strip.
* Added few sequins.

Card #3

This is my last card for the day.
I had never heard of dream catcher. But few days back had seen so many posts on FB about it. So thats the inspiration for my next card.
* I used Scalloped circle die and die cut twice. Except the outed scalloped circle i glued other diecuts on top of each other.
* Stamped the sentiment and heat embossed.
* Then stacked 3 die cuts on each other to make the hangings.
* I glued the circles first on each other, then tied leaves with green embroidery floss and glued another end beneath the last circle.
* Added few green sequins.

Here is the card

Peek-a-tute Stretch your stamps with Peek-a-boo designs stamps

Hi... Crafty friends...

My today's post is bit different. We all buy such expensive craft items but over the time we stop using it just because we get short of ideas because we see a flower stamp as flower stamp. Just look at it in different way so we can get more out of our stamps. So today I am trying my best to stretch my stash and you, yes YOU all going to judge how far i succeeded in my take on Stretching the stamp. By the way our Challenge for this month is colour inspiration challenge,

Card #1

For my two cards i am using Splitter Splater set.

* I used the solid canopy stamp from the set and inked with color box inks (tried to overlap two inks to get ombre effect).
* I used colours according to our on going challenge.
* I fussy cut each canopy once the ink is dry (these are similar to pigment inks so take time to dry )
* For one I trimmed the image more for other two kept as they were.
* Arranged them as butterfly around flourish.
* Stamped the sentiment.

Card #2

After the first card i thought how much more I can use this set so came the second card.
* I prepared my white panel for heat embossing.
* Stamped sun image with versamark ink.
* Sprinkled ranger liquid platinum embossing powder and heat set it.
* Once it cooled down I used distress inks and blended them diagonally on the panel.
* Trimmed it a bit, glued a black trip of CS
* Heat embossed sentiment on vellum.
* Added two clouds and sun to hide the glue.
** Sentiment is from same set, selective stamping

Card #3

* I took the small boat image and stamped it in a pattern repeatedly with versamark ink,sprinkled ranger gold embossing powder ( I wanted the pattern to show) and heat embossed it.
* Repeated same with large boat stamp.
* Going with the colour challenge applied distress inks.
* Then embossed front of vellum card base through bigshot with We r memory keepers next level embossing folder.
* I mounted the gems i made with boat images one on top of the other with foam square.
* I then cut 4 strips from grey CS, heat embossed sentiment in gold. Glued it on the front.
* To hide the glue i glued another strip on the back, n repeated same on the other flap of the card.
** Sentiment is from same set, selective stamping

Squash Card

Hi.. This is my first attempt in blogging for a card made a year back. So I apologise for not giving complete details of items used. Its a simple squash card. I used a brown, black and cream card stocks for the card. The base was 8*8", folded it to form squash card. Stamps used were gem stones and birds (inkadinkado) and vintage every day (little darlings). Used colour box inks.

I repeatedly stamped with peacock feather stamp. At the front added texture with dry embossing. As i didnt have embossing machine that time i used rolling pin with few layers of foam sheets. Gave satisfactory results. Adhered sentiment with pop dots. To complete tied a cream colour ribbon.

Thank you
